Thank you so much for your opinions!
I'm afraid they can't buy 2 Troupers for the price of 1 DBR10. They can get the Trouper for 250, and the DBR for 320. They would love to have the K8.2, but it's way over the budget. Even so, they're still thinking about it... as they loved it. If the K8.2 really is much better than the DBR10, I'm sure they will buy the K8. Do you think the K8.2 (600) is a better option than the DBR10 (320) or the DXR10 (430)? Thank you! |

They were about to buy the DBR10 (a couple of minutes ago, for 320) but when they got to the store, there was a price drop on all Yamaha speakers.
Once both of the speakers are within their budget, what should they buy? What is the best option, quality wise. DBR 10 - 290 DXR 10 - 390 Thank you so much! |

Indeed. I would also buy one for myself if I needed.
So, what do you guys think? They can only buy the speaker today or tomorrow morning. Thank you for your input! |

Dbr rocks
No question buy the DBR10. I have two and here in Canada they are $519 each in Cdn dollars. Used mine last night - one only for restaurant gig. Loads of powe and headroom, punch and clarity, great dsp and light to carry. Best bang for the buck. My 2 cents

Not an acoustic guitar performer (yet), but I use 2 DBR10s and an EV 15 inch sub for my karaoke shows. Absolutely love the DBR10s. Plenty of headroom--the subwoofer will at times struggle to keep up with them! I have gotten many compliments on the sound of my karaoke shows since I got the Yamahas--they just sound "warm" and natural--they never get harsh. As others have said, very light, excellent sound, and mid-level price range. I believe you also get a 5 or 7 year warranty on them as well. I've used just the DBR10s for some jam sessions with friends and they work really well for acoustic stuff in my opinion. I think they would be very happy with them.
A former band-mate of mine has the QSC K series--excellent stuff, but expensive. Out of my price-range but the Yamahas were a perfect runner-up! |

Alto Trouper and possibly a small mixing board from Yamaha, if budget allows. They also need a speaker pole and two mics and stands.

Thanks for all your help!
I didn't got the chance to come here sooner. I gave them this thread link so they could check all opinions. They opted for the dbr. Again, thank you all. Merry Christmas! |
