Here's a photo of an example that looks just like my main guitar, a mahogany-topped Guild D-125 in cherry red. I think the color looks very rich . . . classy, not flashy.

Yes, it's parlor size with Alaskan Yellow Cedar top and curly maple back and sides. That was about my fourth acoustic.

That reminds me of the time I hired a fellow to paint my porch. When he knocked on the door to let me know he was finished he said "just to let you know, that wasn't a porch it was a Mercedes"

I'll show myself out now.

BTW that is a really cool looking finish.
Actually, it works pretty good for blues...
Finish is water based metal acid tint sprayed with an airbrush and sealed with a light spray of shellac. Then about 20 coats of TruOil, with light sanding every three or four coats.

I saw one of these at a pawn shop a few months ago. If I remember correctly it had some issues but I love the double pick guards. How does yours sound?

Loud and proud is probably the best description of it's sound, so for a campfire guitar, not too bad at all.

Mine has a few issues too. The bridge is on tight, but a little belly bulge has developed over the years. The height of the saddle is easily adjustable with two screws.

The neck on mine is straight, but not adjustable.

Mine was a hand-me-down so I don't know it this is an OEM condition, but the pickguards are actually screwed into the top.

For strumming and humming, it's good enough.
Nuanced playing? Like I said, it's a campfire guitar.
But it's tough...You could probably stop a charging buffalo with it.

I call it "El Kabong"
