Default My new Greta

I just received my new Greta 13 Fret.

I would like to post all my thoughts on this wonderful guitar. I will post one a day because I think each discovery deserves its own moment of appreciation.

First post follows.

Congratulations! I'd love to hear your thoughts when you have some time. My own custom Hatcher build should be starting next month and I can't wait. He's going to build me a special little vintage-inspired parlor guitar

As an owner of two Hatcher guitars, a Greta and a Josie (with more to come), I am sure there will be a lot of 'discoveries' you will be sharing. Mark's guitars just keep getting better the more they are played. Also, they are not hard to look at.

The 13 fret 25 inch scale must have been a match made in heaven. ZERO hand fatigue. I have actually rediscoverd complex bar chords that were long abandoned. Perfect set up.
What a pleasure to play. I could have never imagined this level of comfort was possible.

You can see the Greta on Mark Hatcher's website, or look at some build posts of the Greta on agf.
Mark is currently building me a Penelope. I am very excited!

Default Greta 13 fret

Sound.

I believe that we turn to a custom order for several reasons and that the main reason being the sound. Not just any sound....... but that elusive perfect sound we hear in our minds and hope to magically find with every guitar we pick up and strum.

My Greta is that elusive sound in my mind
