Default 2001 Gibson Nick Lucas Reissue - Sound Sample Added

For Sale is my Limited Edition Gibson Nick Lucas Reissue

Sold

Excellent sounding and playing guitar in player condition, not a collector piece. Recent setup with new compensated bone saddle. Factory saddle will be in the case. Action is low and it plays great all the way up the neck. This L-00 Gibson has an extra deep body giving it a nice deep vibrating bass and extra volume for a small body. The great tone on this guitar caused me to re-think my opinion about maple, I am now officially a fan.

Made in 2001 this guitar has been played and has opened up nicely. It does show play wear, some marks and small dings with one large ding above the sound hole and a pair of smaller, shallow dings right below the bridge. See the close up pics.

It did have a crack in the neck below the headstock that was repaired some time ago before I purchased the guitar. The repair is well done and rock solid and has been checked out by a luthier, no concerns other than cosmetic.

Low asking price is due to the repair.

Specs:
sunburst finish all around
spruce top
flamed maple back and sides
14-fret mahogany neck
white-bound 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with fancy pearl inlays
1-23/32" nut width
24-3/4" scale
spacing at the bridge is 2 7/32"
14-3/4" lower bout
4-7/8" deep body
rosewood bridge
firestripe pickguard
white-bound body
b-w top purfling
pearl "Gibson" script logo and fleur-de-lis headstock inlays
nickel tuners with butterbean buttons
made in Montana
Gibson case is slightly oversized and not the original

Wow, Nice!!!

I have the Recording King version of this guitar (RNJ-25), which is a nice copy and the maple back/sides make for a very clear, bright yet balanced tone and the extra depth really helps bring out the bass. Always wanted to try one of the Gibson versions, bet it all the RK is and then some!

Wish I hadn't already blown my guitar budget for the year...maybe I can sell a couple of guitars in time...
