Default He ain t heavy he is my brother - Cover (arr. Martin Tallstrom)

Hi folks, I am happy that Martin Tallstrom agreed that I may record his wonderful arrangement on my next CD. Here is a first take of this beautiful song. I don`t know how many take I will record until I am happy and finished ... So comments are welcome. This is it how it sounds now:

Here is a version with a bit more boom. Any idea/comment if it is better?

Very nicely done. One of my favorites from the Hollies.

Hi Roland

I think the second version was better. I wouldn't say it was boomier but rather more....compressed perhaps.

ONE THING IS FOR SURE THOUGH, some people seem to have a touch for certain guitars and in your case I definitely think it is Mcrilroy.

At any rate very nice recordings.

LOL - yes I still love my Mclroy but my ASP30 has some issues and need some repair for the frets.... But to be honese, at the moment the Collings is my favorit. And this one was done with the Collings again. I just ordered a Huss & Dalton 000-SP and I am exited how it will sound.

Very nice, Rolli… I always enjoyed that song. Nice to hear it again.

Which Collings is that? Sounds great. You'll love your new H&D… be sure to let us hear it when it comes.

Hi Rolli…

That went well with a cup of coffee while browsing…probably would go good with lots of activities.

Yeah - cant wait to check her out. Just sold a wonderful Larriveé OM3R to refinance, but the Huss & Dalton is so rare to find in Germany...
The Collings used is a OM1A with Adrirondack Top and Mahagony sides and bottom. Love this guitar most.

Will of course record with the H&D and post. Thank you all!
