Default The Rose (Bette Midler) acoustic solo version

Hi folks,

here is my version of Bette Midler's "The Rose". It's based on M. Tallstrom's arrangement in "open Gsus4" - hope you like it:

(edit) new mastered version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Go95tcu9QU

I really like this arrangement. Very soft and lyrical, with lots of air between notes to let the melody sink in. Nicely done!

Another forum member was impressed enough with this video to send me an email telling me to watch it.

Now that I have seen the video for myself, I would do the same.

Nice job, guitarquango!

Tony

Really nice man! I played this song on the piano many many years ago at my brothers wedding. Always loved this song. Nice version on the guitar!

Very nicely played!

The Rose sung by Conway Twitty is such a beautiful rendition :o

Nicely done. I play Tallstrom's version as well, but in regular Open G. Isn't that the way he plays it?

Very nice rendition . love the contemplative feel .

I cover this when i play out although in a vastly different rendition.

Being the stickler for crediting the songwriter as opposed to the performer that made it a hit , it should be noted it was written by Amanda McBroom
