They (Furch/Stonebridge remind me somewhat of Taylor's maybe? Am I wrong? Hard to tell without a side by side comparison. But they seem bright and not much meat on the low end. Again that could be just watching the clips on YouTube don't do them justice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I don't know others models but the cedar/rw combo didn't sound like the tylors I played. I dont miss more bass and its not as bright. It has a dark and warmth sound and very lush when strumming.

I think I've been through a little of what you're going through. Usually when you ask these questions on here people just say, "Go and play them!" Well, you can't always do that. There isn't anywhere near me that carries Irish guitars, or Furch, or really much in the way of small builders or anything that isn't made in a large factory.
So, sometimes in order to experiment, you have to buy blind and be willing to sell. If you buy something that has a good reputation, you shouldn't have any trouble selling in the AGF classifieds if it doesn't work out. I recommend buying something used and making sure you get it for a decent price because that way you either a. won't lose money selling it on AGF or b. won't lose very much. Those losses can be viewed as the price to experiment with something you otherwise couldn't put your hands on, and that may very well be worth it. Irish guitars come available on AGF all the time, as do Furch/Stonebridge. And they always get bought. Give it a shot. Finding a really good fit can be a lengthy process that means trying out a lot of different things. Don't beat yourself up trying to make the perfect choice right out of the shoot. |

If the Larrivee comes with that hat I'd go with the Larrivee.

Hi, I am also considering a G23CR. Have you got the guitar? How is it?

I love it! Similar style to a Taylor, but I like the tone better. Wide nur and string spacing are great for fingerstyle http://stonebridgeguitars.homestead....dge_Review.pdf Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Congrats! on the Guitar, I was going to say there was one going for a good price in the Classifieds on here. I think it's fair to say Furch/Stonebridge tend to be R.Taylor quality with standard series prices.

I don't know anyone who has been disappointed with a Furch though Avalon seems to produce very good guitars too, but I love my Furch !
