Default NGD - Custom Martin OM-18

A long overdue 18 for me. It sounds great! Clean and projects better than I'd expected it would. Factory action is a little high, as have been a few I've received from Martin over the years; something I've become somewhat used to, so it needs to be set up by my main man Dave at Maple Street Guitars, but as I'll be out of the country for 5-6 weeks starting next weekend, that will have to wait until I get back. In the meantime it's a pretty cool honeymoon.

Loosely based on one of the Mandolin Brothers' dealer runs of OM-18 Specials, and some of what I like from my 2015 custom OM-21, which itself was loosely based on the OM-21 Special.

Trying out the guitar after a pretty good wait:

Here are my two customs side-by-side, and the 1st one kind of reveals how the 2015's top has turned in less than 2 yrs. (both are clear, no-toned tops):

Congrats on your beautiful guitar. Well appointed but perfectly understated.

Nice guitar! I play one of the Mando Bros OM-18 Special customs. Love the way it sounds and I'll bet yours sounds great, too.

Thanks all!

bizango1, I missed out on those beautiful Mandolin Bros. runs, and wish I didn't. But I'm very pleased now.

Dennis, my old buddy Bob is still enjoying that Special very much. He says it's his lifer guitar. As luck would have it, I found one for myself as well, same model year.
