It's funny how for most of the bands suggests boosting. The 62Hz one made me chuckle ... "By cutting this band hum noise can be removed"
... in my experience it's better to find the culprit causing the hum. I've never been able to successfully EQ out hum without destroying the tone ... and so I don't even try. I think the only solutions is really to eliminate it at source.

60 cycle hum (and its harmonic at 120) is a common specific problem in the power supplies of audio gear, and it's also below the lowest fundamental of a guitar, so cutting there to reduce noise makes good sense.
Boosting for "reverberation" at 31 hz, however, is a very strange suggestion. |
