Default Picking pattern - Ladies of the Canyon

I heard this Joni Mitchell classic on YouTube the other day and decided to try and play it. Finding the tuning and chords was relatively easy from an on-line search. However, I cannot find a description of the picking sequence. I'm not all that great of a player and am having difficulty figuring this out for myself. Does anybody have a link, tabs or description that can give me the correct pattern?

Here's the intro (tuning CGDFCE capo 2):

It would take me a lot longer to work out the rest, but a lot of the right hand pattern is with the thumb accenting the first and 4th 8th notes in the bar (as in the first bar above). Other times the bass notes are on beats 1, 3 and 4 (like the 3rd and 4th bars).

JonPR...It's been a while since you posted your reply but after trying out your intro tab, I found it to be quite accurate. The remainder of the song is the pattern of the last two bars. However, instead of just the open E string, I play the E and B strings simultaneously. Thanks for the help.
