Default TRADED Alhambra 11P Exotico Limited Edition

Image album:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/smwink...57689481358582

This is one of a limited run made for the 12th Fret Guitar Shop's 40th anniversary. Details here:
http://www.12fret.com/2017/06/29/the...mited-edition/

Mine is #3, which is the guitar pictured in the link above. Condition is excellent/mint. While I hate to let it go, I'm trying to consolidate to two classical guitars, and I prefer a smaller Torres/Hauser body over the slightly larger Madrid style like the Alhambra. The sound is clear and bright with excellent separation across the strings and a deep bass.

Specs: Solid cedar top, solid red peroba back/sides, ebony fingerboard with 20th fret treble extension. 650 mm scale length with 51 mm nut width. String spacing at the nut is 42.5 mm and 59 mm at the saddle. Current action is just under 4 mm on the low E and 3 mm on the high E, with room to lower.

Hardshell case is included.

$2200 shipped within US, paypal F&F. I'm happy to take additional photos.

TRADED

Pre-holiday bump for a lovely classical guitar. I might consider partial trades with some cash coming my way. Maybe an archtop?

Man, that's the lightest colored Cedar I've ever seen!

Pretty sure it's OK to post the CL add:

Not sure what kind of lighting they used, but it's much darker in person. You can see photos on my Boston craigslist listing (not sure if it's ok to post link here) that show the actual color better. It's definitely cedar, though.

That's a beautiful guitar. Very interesting story behind the guitar and those woods. GLWYS it's hard to sell a classical these days, even the outstanding ones.

Thanks--I don't mind holding onto this one for a while longer since it has a very different sound and feel compared to my spruce Hauser/Torres style classicals. However, if I can use the sale to raise some funds then I'll gladly let it go. I might also consider trades plus cash.

Alhambra makes a fine guitar, in my opinion. I own the 8P. This one must be spectacular! Best of luck!

Yes, this particular 11P is pretty nice. Since it's a special edition produced for the 12th Fret shop, I think these were built by a single luthier (or possibly a small team supervised by him). The label is hand-signed, which isn't usual for this model.

I'd really like to find a good home for it, mainly because I have too many classical guitars to play them all regularly.

I wish it would work for me, I'm looking for an Alhambra but I need either a Cadete or a Senorita size (prefer to play parlor size guitars.) It really is beautiful.

I keep going back and forth on keeping this, but I figured I'd bump again to see if there is any interest. I recently upgraded this guitar with Schaller Grand Tune machine heads (custom set with Alhambra logo). Partial trades with some cash my way also considered.

Another bump--how about $1900 shipped? Partial trades? I'd be interested in a 12-fret resonator, maybe an archtop like the Godin 5th Ave, potentially a less expensive classical plus cash.
