Default SOLD Ed Claxton EM Brazilian German Acoustic Guitar w/ Calton ((VIDEO))

Howdy Folks, up for grabs is my 2002 Ed Claxton Brazilian EM with German Spruce top and a Calton case… 1 3/4 nut and 2 1/4 string spacing... Glorious tone, extremely sensitive and plays like butter, as new condition practically, a REAL fine specimen… Has that dry aged timber tone with sophisticated bloom, very alluring... Ed’s builds I’ve played from the 2000’s have always been some of my favorite guitars, every one I’ve played has been consistently amazing. This guitar is the definition of a master luthier built instrument...

A few years ago I was asked my a friend of mine to accompany him on a journey to Luthiers Collection to play a bunch of acoustics and help pick out a favorite... Here is what he came home with, this Claxton is a STAND out guitar in a room full of stand out guitars... So my friend owned her for a couple years and then I took it off him on a trade a year or so back. It actually still shows on the LC website as available, but that's some sort of glitch, Its been gone for 3+ years...

If you've ever been interested in Ed's work, this EM is a great example, and one of the coolest sets of Brazilian ever I must add, flitch matching sides as well, very rare... Current price on such a build will be over $20,000

$OLD

That might be the most beautiful dramatic Brazilian that I have ever laid eyes on. Whoever gets this one is going to want that hanging in every room where it can be seen constantly. What a piece of art. Bet it sounds and plays in ways beyond words.

I owned one just like this years ago. It cannot be overstated how cool it was.

A rare opportunity here. DD is a great guy to deal with. He has provided me several awesome guitars over the years.

The three or four Claxton EMs I’ve played have all been exceptional!! This one looks like a real show piece of a guitar. Good luck with your sale.

Wink Would love to...

but have never played one. I'd have to sell all of my guitars to move up to this class for sure. It's a beauty! GLWS

I had one exactly like this. Ed Claxton makes superb instruments of music.

He spares no bones and backs it up with an unlimited warranty to whom ever is the current owner. I know of just one other master luthier who does this.
Prices begins at $15k with upcharges for Braz and the like. His selection of tonewoods would all described as better than the so called master graded stuff.

Awesome guitar and awesome seller. Diamond Dave is a gem. Pun intended. Claxtons are breathtaking guitars. And DD always seems to have the best.

Diamonddave's braziloan rosewood guitars always have the best looking grain and color - i still remember the incredible circa OM that he posted with a brazilian rosewood back that looked like liquid rivers of caramel brazilian rosewood flowing lava-like down the back! This claxton is certainly no exception to the panoply of dalbergia nigra beauties!

Bump for IMHO perhaps the finest guitar currently FS on the Forum.
Claxton's EM's are uniformly astounding guitars- and Dave's reputation as a great seller is highly deserved.

Yeah, Ed really does make stellar guitars. DD must be having a temporary lapse of sanity.
