Default I can't be the ONLY one...

Sitting on the couch, changing strings the other night. Movie on the TV, just going through the routine of de-stringing and re-stringing.
Get done, tune up, strum a chord, and realize i put the D and G strings on in reverse order! (Doh!)
And they're COLOR coded D-Addarios for goodness sakes!
Sheesh. As if doing it once wasn't bother enough!
Anybody else guilty of SWD (stringing while distracted)?

Hello!!!!!

I am here too. Talking on the phone with a Greek mother is challenging! They are loud and talk A LOT! So, the B went to the high E a couple of times.

On a 12-string guitar I like to put the 6 strings that are nearest to the saddle on first - that way the strings behind can touch the bridge pin in front if they need to.

I've twice wound them on the wrong tuner.

Skip one, thread one, skip one, thread one .....

I've never done that, but I once wasn't paying attention and wound the tuners on the G, B, and high e strings the wrong way. Not a big deal once you knew which way to turn them. It looked a little weird though.

I know I've done it. Can't remember exactly when...but I know I've done it.

One of the reasons I change my strings one at a time.

That should result in some interesting chords, providing the tuning for each string was right, Maybe others will pick up on it and create a whole new style of guitar playing. Inverted tuning.

I made this mistake once, too. I snapped the D string trying to get it up to a G. I felt really dumb. Thankfully, I made this mistake only once. Stuff happens...
