Default New Pickup Advice.

Hey All,

Linked to by post in General Discussion about the Sobell I just brought I need a pickup.

I don’t want a magnetic soundhole as I like the look of the Sobell as it is.

I have a split saddle to contend with and I had thought about a K&K Trinity but since they added the voltage limit I am rather put off by them.

The Anthem SL seems to be what I am landing on but, anything else I should consider? I don’t mind having 2 output jacks and running 2 cables.

I have a Dtar Solstice and Headway EDB2 HE so preamps are not a problem.

Is there a way round the K&K Trinity voltage limit?

Haven’t brought a pickup for 4-5 years so what is new and sounds good and available in the UK?

Thanks in advance.

D

The Seymour Duncan Wavelength is pretty close to the Highlander, if you want to go that route.
If you want the K&K, you can purchase the plain Pure Western Mini (no mic involved) and add a lavalier type mic from Audix, AudioTechnica, DPA ... many choices possible. I like the DPA4061 a lot.

By the way, before you moved the thread, I offered you a Highlander and Trinity mic (old type). Just saying in case this offering got lost. I'm not in the need of selling but wanted to help a fellow AGF.

Do you have or do you know where i can find the wiring instructions to add a mic like the DPA to the K&K?

Doug Young, who posts regularly here and has great knowledge, has an instruction vid on his site.
