Default Dual Source PU into ToneDexter

What happens if you try to send a dual source PU (pick-up +mic) into a TD? Does the ToneDexter ignore the mic signal and send it through to the board/amp? Or would it try to "overlay" the trained wave map from the pick-up component onto the mic signal as well? Just curious.

Unsure how you get the microphone signal in there?

The microphone input is only for training and does not show up on the output, in case that is what you were thinking.

Dual source pick up is a pickup mounted in the soundhole of the guitar usually and blends two signals into one - one signal from a pick up and one from a microphone. Both signals get sent through a single cable to whatever DI you use or directly to PA board.

So the part of the signal that originates with the pickup component would get treated by ToneDexter with whatever mic has been used to train it.

But I'm wondering what happens to the part of the signal that originates from the mic component of the pickup?

If both signals are blended into one mono signal then both would be treated the same by the Tonedexter. It can’t differentiate what part of the signal is from the pickup and what part is from a mic after the two sources have been blended together.

Incorrect. The pickup and microphone signals are COMBINED before ToneDexter sees them.
