I've heard of the band but I've never heard any of their songs ... or perhaps I have heard them on the radio but had no idea it was them.

Sounds like One Direction has great material for a new song ... "Cry".

I have never heard of One Direction, but I am sure I am devastated, might even have to jump in front of a train or something. What is this world coming to?

Oh my, I haven't felt this bad since the Beatles broke up.

1 down and 4 to go.

Another boy band bites the dust. Oh well....they tend to have a relatively short shelf life anyway, don't they?

Just for fun, I'm trying to remember the boy bands I've seen come and go....let's see.....

Backstreet Boys

Boyz 2 Men

Menudo

Hansen

I'm sure there are more, but they tend to be rather forgettable anyway.

Dare I say it? I have no idea who they are. But find the crying over it video highly amusing. The deaths of SRV and John Lennon, as well as the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash were terrible to me. But I didn't cry like a baby.

Actually, Hansen grew up and began making much more serious and critically-respected music. But because they’re no longer cute (and, IIRC, all are now “spoken for”), their sales tanked.
