I'm for Maybelle. Put an engraving of an L-5 on the back of the bill and record the opening notes of 'Wildwood Flower" on the magnetic security strip.

How about an image of an eagle family (that gets in male and female), and a big hologram of a waving, red, white, and blue US flag? I don't think that flag would get burned, either.

Too bad we don't have any female presidents to choose from.

I saw Jesse Watters stopping young women on the street and showing them a photo of Hillary Clinton, and was shocked at the number of them that didn't know who she is. Who the heck even pays any attention to who's on a bill anyway.
My vote, Lizzie Borden. A genuine survivor.

It is my understanding that a real woman has never been depicted on paper money and to that extent, they have sustained discrimination.

It would depend entirely on who was to be chosen.

Selecting a woman because no woman has been on American paper currency is pretty ridiculous.

The Susan B. Anthony dollar was a flop. The Sacagawea dollar was a flop.

Maybe we should just take a hint from those and worry about things that actually matter.

I'm pretty sure they were a flop because they were coins. I also think people with vision issues had problems with them. I don't even carry coins with me. All of them get tossed into coffee cans for future conversion to something else.

Is it? Why? Wouldn't having the face of an accomplished woman publicly recognize that women achieve great things just as men do? Only having men smacks of a lop-sided patriarchal society.

I like the idea of replacing Jackson with a female scientist as men have successfully claimed credit for important contributions women have made.
