Default Its Fighting Season in Afghanistan

This is the first time I had heard of this phrase, sort of made the analogy of deer hunting season in Wisconsin. Anyway, I'm not asking for any responses on my observation here, but I just found it totally amusing how some perceive things in this world today. And then we wonder why we (as the human race is concerned) is all messed up ,

I'm still living there and truer words were ne'er spoke, Larry.

That being said, my nephew graduated from West Point last summer and I hope like hell he doesn't go into a hot situation.

This seasonal battling goes back eons and is pretty universal in regions that actually have noticeably variable seasons.

Remember "Spring Offensives" ?

Thomas Paine referred to "sunshine patriots and summer soldiers" as those who could be counted on only when the going was good.

I'd rather be rutting, myself. Fighting......waste of a good season. But to each his own.
