Default New guy and NGD (Furch)

Greetings from Ireland and second post here..

After a long time researching and reading endless stuff , I Received a new Furch G23CR cutaway (stonebridge) today and am blown away by its finish both inside and outside. Cedar top, Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard, bridge and headstock face. She even smells beautiful because of the rosewood I presume. I am letting chords in DADGAD just ring out while listening to the tone!
This is my first serious acoustic after many years playing a 76 strat .. I had a takemine for a while some years back and have an ovation elite which actually sounds good but comes nowhere near the sound of this. There is a K &K mini installed but I won't even plug in for a few days until I get used to the wood tones!

Very nice... might want to check your picture posts I am only seeing one of the three...the other two are broken (to me) but that might just be me too!

That looks like a great start!

Hi and welcome to the forum !!!

Nice guitar !!! Is it similar to grand auditorium shape ?

When you record something with your new baby, don't be shy - post it here.
Most folks here are satisfied with the pics - others want to know, how it sounds !

Thanks folks,

I would be interested to know what pickups Furch/stonebridge players use here..even with my limited acoustic experience, I know that under saddle is not for me so I hope the K&K works out. I will also have to keep an eye on humidity here with winter on the way.

The low end of the scale for micrpohone pickups is the K&K rig... Lots of folks use them and love them. There are pretty inexpensive (thinking like $30ish on amazong) through to the higher priced options like Lyric from LR Baggs (Couple hundred). There are also sound hole mounted pickups as well to use

Beautiful guitar. Congrats and happy times with such a beautiful instrument. I am based in UK and don't have any humidity problems. I do have a Planetwaves humidity sensor but it pretty much stays within safe limits.
