Default Goodness, I think I may have wet myself!

The January Select Series is out from Emerald - some of the most gorgeous cocobolo I have seen! Seriously, if I didn't already have my lovely X20, I would SO be all over one of these. I see one of the X20s is already sold. My wife, who is not a guitar player, said, "Oh, I think I want one of those!"

Since she is always encouraging for me, I said, "Go for it!" Very supportive of me, since I know it would be something I would get to play (the T5 is "hers"). No, we didn't pull the trigger, but these may be the prettiest, yet!

Two big thumbs up to Alistair, Sean, and the crew at Emerald for another outstanding Select Series. (I was wondering if that was going to continue this year - glad to see it!)

Carbon fiber would definitely be the prime choice for those prone to wetting themselves.

Two of the X20's now sold. I'm desperately trying NOT to buy that X7 which is gorgeous. I'm sure it will be gone soon. Thankfully it has the standard neck shape and LR Baggs Element system. Had they used my soft V profile and a K&K I would not have been able to help myself!!!

Well, "prone" isn't how I would describe it. It may have been drool running down.

TMI?

This month's Select Series is striking!

I just watched the video that Alistair made showing 4 of this series. At around 19:20 in the video, he says that this may be the last of the cocobolo that they will be making. Perhaps my favorite look of all the veneers I've seen.

I see that as of now, all 3 X20s are sold. Yeah, I get that.

I was also drooling over the X7 that was in the series. Oh, my, if I didn't already have one I would have bought that in a second! Absolutely stunning!

If I had an unlimited budget that 12-string would be on an airplane to Phoenix first thing in the morning.

Alas...

Wow - 4 in about 12 hours... must be a new Select Series record! Like you, and Barb, and others, I could feel that same pull. I'll be looking forward to reading about the new guitar day posts if anyone here snagged one of these beauties.

Sean must be working overtime tonight.
