got mind today and tried it. Works fine, some very nice chorus and reverbs. Plus the new toy factor is kind of cool. Think on the acoustic side I will end up using a boost pedal and a reverb. Pedals are very small and compact, easy to stuff and my gig bag.

David, this is an interesting post and I have been following it closely. I just ordered one and do not have an i-phone or i-pod but my granddaughters do so I can download with theirs if necessary. My understanding is that it comes with some default apps. Do you know if I can use these right out of the box without an I-pad or I-phone. I know nothing about these but they appear to be cool. Sorry for the ignorance but I do use a Mac at home but only have a non camera no texting cell phone. I don't even text! Thanks in advance. -- Darwin

It comes preloaded with the 'Redline Overdrive', whose description doesn't shed much light on its origins.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to load any other models without bugging your granddaughters You need access to the Stomp Shop application on an iThing to be able to exercise its full capabilities.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with this device at the moment. Musicians Friend seems to be the only outlet offloading stock at this price. That would suggest that a replacement is on the way, but everyone is still be selling it for full whack. I'm just happy I was able to snap a couple up for $39.95 a pop.

Thanks David. I will use the granddaughters to download the goods. It says it came with 10 presets and I wasn't sure what that meant. Thanks for the info David and I hope you enjoy yours. We are getting a heat wave here in the twin cities! -- Darwin

Sweetwater now has them for 39.95. Or you can still buy the three pack from them for $299.95?! I thought I would miss not having an option for a battery, but what strikes you when get them is how thin and compact they are. Could never do that with a battery compartment. I would think we have to be getting these at cost? NAMM is in a week I think it will be interest to google Digitech for the next product.

FYI: the included power supply can run several iStomps. I used a daisy chain ( either an old Boss or from a Visual Sound One Spot) and ran 5 iStomps with 1 adapter. Very handy.

Mine was waiting for me when I got home from work today. Didn't have a lot of time to mess with it before the wife came home and told me to turn it down. The main reason I bought it was I needed a reverb pedal. I loaded up the Lexicon reverb and it sounded great to my ears.

I ordered a second one for the lead player in our band. I am going high tech without knowing it. I soon need a new phone anyhow so this is a no brainer for me. Maybe I will even have texting!-- Darwin

Not yet - still 30-pin here. I've read a few reports online that suggest it's just fine with an adapter.
