Default question for Ultratonic add on

I have decided that my Collings CJ35 does not need the extra high E sensor. Can I just cut that wire of do I have to do more? I had a buddy put it in so he can do it if it is way technical. However, if I can just cut that wire, I can do that myself. My Martins love that extra sensor....Collings does not need it. Too much. Thanks

I wouldn’t do that. Just install it and roll down the treble before you play.

yes you can just cut that wire. just make sure the conductors dont touch so it doesnt create a short and degrade the remaining sensors signal

Done...worked like a charm. That Collings did not need extra on the high E. I figured I would try it but it was too much. I have clipped the wire, taped to back and it sounds great. Thanks.
