Last year I was listed right behind Adrianne, Lydia & Scotty; this year I'm #25. I've obviously entered Mary's doghouse.

June. The McJam. Can't wait!!!

I invite you to notice where your name is now.

We do have a few new names who are coming this year.

A couple of names are on the list, but not sure how this fits in the schedule. Kory's family takes a group vacation so he has to wait until he knows the date.

Neil said this is his anniversary. I invited him to bring his wife. I know. I know. How lame for her.

DavidE, let me know if you want on the list. McJammers will welcome a newbie.

Hey Mary! I hate to jump on the "dog house" bandwagon, but you misspelled my name.

Does this mean Neil has chosen celebrating his anniversary with his wife over the McJam??? This doesn't make sense to me. He probably sees his wife every day, whereas the McJam (like Christmas) comes but once a year. If so, Neil - we'll miss you man!!

On a selfish note, I'm thinking Neil was an original McJammer who has attended every McJam. If he doesn't attend, how many Charter Member and 100% attendees, like me, are left? I know Bruce and Nancy are in that category.

Really looking forward to the 2015 McJam!!! and, playing my McNaught there!!!

Well now that we are talking about anniversaries...mine is actually the 15th of June but I told my wife we would celebrate the weekend before the McJam! Don't want to miss another year. I did invite her but as you might guess an eye roll or two later I gathered she was not too interested. I certainly am excited though!

Dog House? I am in the dog house with Rodger, too. OK. Keep me in line guys. I did fix it. My bad. Don't let me get away with that stuff, Rodger. Dunno how I messed it up. You will forgive me. (Thank you.)

Neil was my man McJammer from the #1 conversation, outside of with Tim, from Day #1. I am hoping he can make it here, but the most important person is his wife and we would welcome her with open arms if she chooses to join him. I will still be wheeling and dealing with them with major hopes.

But, yes, Rodger, besides you the only ones who have attended every McJam was Bruce and Nancy. We have regulars, but 100% attendance belongs to you three.

It wouldn't be successful without all of our regulars, but you 3 do hold prestige in this realm. OK, that doesn't hold out to much more than a hill of beans in the bigger world, but it means much to Tim, our kids and me.

Rodger - Kurt

Would it be beneficial for me to organize this a little bit differently to see if I can get a block of rooms for McJammers.

Do most stay in the same motel?

Which motel is used most often?

I don't know if this is even wise for me to consider. Any suggestions?

Hey Mary! I think a fair number of McJammers stay at local hotels, though we tend to stay at a variety of different ones. The best one we've stayed at is:

BEST WESTERN PLUS
University Inn
2117 Marion Mount Gilead Road,
Marion, OH, US
Phone: 740/389-1998

Reasonably priced, clean, good breakfast...

We stayed at a few others in past years that were ... um ... less than tasteful.

I think it's great of you to think about doing this, but may be more trouble than it's worth. You may be on the hook for filling the exact number of rooms you book. Also, hotels may not give us a price break for less than 20 rooms or so.

I'll be interested to see what Kurt (and others) think about this.

Julie and I stayed at the Country Inn & Suites and found it excellent for the price. It's in the same Marion neighborhood as all the other commercial sprawl. I don't know that you need to book a block of rooms though, Mary; after a full day of being together, some of us may prefer a little isolated down-time at night.

That's kind of what I figured, too, Kurt. After day #1 is completed I am beat. We would have already spent an extra day mowing and making plans for food with Joyce, Bonnie and the girls.

Like you, Rodger, I doubt we can get a break since there are only a handful who want to stay in one motel or another.

I will leave the motel situation to y'all individually. It is wise to reserve rooms in advance.

Like Kurt I think it is better for me to let individuals make individual reservations. I can understand the much needed down time at the end of the day. After Day #2 there is church so sleeping in is not an option either.

Rodger, you are right. There will be no break in rates so I will be wise and skip this idea.

By the way, I invite each of you to consider doing a music service at our Sunday service. Our pastor and mini congregation will welcome the change. Feel free to ask Steve Wamsley or Ross about this so you know what it is like in advance. It is extremely small!
