Scars - The story of my life with Spot
Some of you have heard me talk about my dad's old '59 J-45 that I've been dragging around since he passed in 1979. After all these years I finally managed to tell the story of how he came to look and sound the way he does. I just wish I could have used him for this recording, but he's needing some work right now so I've taken all the tension off this strings. Nothing serious the top is bellying up a little and the bridge is lifting. Normal J-45 stuff you have to fix every 15 - 20 years. Here's a pic of him and the link to the SoundCloud file is below. Thanks for listening!

It's funny I wrote the song just to document the story of my guitar and it's history. In the process I started seeing some parallels with my life so I put them in and then I wrote that little chorus to kinda tie it together. I hadn't planned on doing anything with the song, but I had some people like it. So I decided to just put it out for folks to listen to and I started getting messages from people all over the place telling me how the song touched them because of the scars in their lives. One particular beautiful lady who is a friend of my wife and I was born with some birth defects that caused extensive surgeries on her face contacted us in tears saying how it had just touched and spoke to her about how she had felt dealing with her scars.
