Somewhere in my parents basement, in a shoebox, there's the infamous Fleer Billy Ripken baseball card with the naughty words on the bottom of the bat...

I think when I was like 11 years old, it was worth about $500. I think my dad convinced me that card would put me through college someday...Saw one at a baseball card shop a few years ago for 15 bucks.

30+ years ago I brought it into a place that bought estate collectibles, they wouldn't even look at it. I've still got the albums, was wondering if it was even worth trying to list them.

I purchased $500 dollors in a tech penny stock back in the mid 90s. I realy liked the concept (3D technology) and I thought they were on to something.
Got it at 4 cents. It went up to $2.25. I could have sold it with a nice profit ($27,625) but held on to it. Still have it. Last time i looked it was at .0018 cents.

Do you remember Roger Moore in the TV series, The Saint?

That show was where I first fell in love with...
