Savoy Lands in Asheville, NC
Was able to get in line early enough that July was the month that mine arrived from Ted at LA Guitar. Toured the factory in June with Joe so that whet the appetite even more. Love the craftsmanship that Blackbird puts into each one, the design is stellar and the sound really is outstanding. Have also included some shots next to my Taylor GS Mini for comparison.

Way cool! That 1-3/4" full width neck and the 24.5" scale length (1" longer than a GS Mini) should make this a wonderful instrument for the player. Side sound port?
Enjoy!! |

That's nice wood grain on your Mini!

Congrats on the new Savoy! I also had a GS Mini koa, but I moved it on after purchasing the Savoy. Wait until you play the Savoy for about a week and see how it cannot be put down.

I did opt for the side sound port, I think it is a nice option and certainly makes a difference to the player's experience. |

The limited edition koa has a gorgeous grain. You can debate how much difference it makes to the sound, can't debate the aesthetics.

Obviously I am a real fan of the Savoy, think it is one of those designs that reflects a lot of lessons learned, listening to customers and not allowing "good enough" to permeate the process. |

Will need to spend more time with it to judge how others hear it, with the sound port it definitely is louder for the player.
