I had a Hi-Fi once. It worked good for a while then I started acting strange. I got angry and arrogant when someone questioned me. I started growing my gray hair into a ponytail, wearing aloha shirts and vietnamese jungle shorts along with my berkenstocks. I would eat nothing but Ben and Jerry's ice cream along with vegies from Whole Foods. I thought Peter, Paul, and Mary were the holy trinity the I found out that only the left speaker was working and thats where I was getting my info from. After I corrected it my life became more balanced. I sold my Prius, ditched my wife Moon Baby, bought a BMW, hooked up with a turbo hot Ukrainien chick and started living life to the fullest. I now see the light and am in full recovery. Balance bro' is the secret to life!!!

Having been at one time a wannabe-o-phile, with the limited budget of youth

I sold stereo gear back in 1971 - 4 in the days of Phase Linear and AR, Nakamichi 1000 , and Magnapan. I did manage to put together a decent system of NAD integrated, Thorens turntable , Nak 1000 , and small Magnaplaners

That system is long gone and now I just have a nice Home theater with another NAD 747. Oppo blue ray, and 7.1 SVS speaker system

My home recording studio system is probably the most. Hi end' ish. With Amphion amp 100 and One 18 speakers
