How about an Irish group doing jigs with elements of swing, Gypsy jazz, sea shanties, and big band in a set. And yes, an accordion is featured.

I have 3 hayseed dixie albums... The Kiss one, the ACDC one, and the Tribute to Mountain Love.

Saw them live once too. They really are talented, and have charted quite high at times!

The weirdest musical combination that I've seen was at an "Open Mic" stage at a music festival years ago. There was a skinny country kid doing "cowboy rap" accompanied by one guy on the washboard and another playing a didgeridoo. It was surprisingly good!

It's called "Si Bheag, Si Mhor" and it's being played by Schooner Fare, a trio (now a duo) from downeast Maine; if you're not familiar with their work I highly recommend them - they've toured/played with the likes of Tom Paxton, Christine Lavin, Tommy Makem, and Liam Clancy, and they were one of the first of the "neo-traditional" outfits that arose in the early-80's. Although they've dramatically curtailed their touring schedule since the passing of bass player Tom Rowe, they've got a fairly extensive catalog of recorded material available at www.outergreen.com if you're interested...

At no time in my life have I liked the Frank Sinatra version, but I've liked this unlikely version from the first time I heard it back in the late 80s.

Actually, I nearly posted the Sid Vicious version alongside it! It's an interesting statement of sorts, but he was one sick puppy!

The 8 shots outta that "six shooter" at the end spoils it for me.

I imagine HHP will also be aghast at this glaring technical inaccuracy !

I'm OK with it. Could well have been a 9 shot LeMat widely used post Civil War.
