That could be an awesome wall ornament and a great conversation piece for years to come.

All joking aside, sorry about this unfortunate mishap, I bet it really sobered everyone up and killed the buzz of the trip huh?

On a brighter note, I'm actually really impressed with the condition it's in considering it was ran over by a car...the back/sides of a wood guitar would be pancaked for sure.

You siento for your loss. Have you seen Sea Sick Steve. He would take your guitar, tie the strings around the end of the neck, hook up some awesome electronics, and make that baby sing. Humm..................

Well I took the MiSi preamp out and will keep, the tuning machines. I have had the guitar sitting by the door for the last week. Though I have little understanding of CF construction I would think it can not be fixed. But I will email Joe at Black bird tomorrow and see what he says. Then I either toss it or hang it on the wall

I was at a store out on Long Island the other day and they had a composite Acoustic GX and Dread. Both played and sounded very nice and had good volume. But the lucky 13 had a unique kind-a Mojo.

Well we all poured a shot of tequila in honer of the dearly departed

The bad part is GAS all over again.

As much as I loved the sound I might look for something that has a bit more volume to keep up in big jams

Ouch ouch ouch!

Don't toss it. Hang it on a wall somewhere like the garage, but maybe not where you have to see it and re-open the wound every day. Like a scar from an accident, you now have a story to tell and have already suffered the loss.

Please keep us posted on what Joe at Blackbird says. I can see how it might not be worth the labor involved to repair, especially since they cannot keep up with demand for new builds. But you never know.

Keep it somewhere if you can. It's a great story if nothing else.

It would make a great yard ornament, filled with dirt and growing a plant.

Hmmm... Looks like that carbon fiber isn't as strong as everyone says it is.

This idea really resonates with me (pun intended).
The wife and I are planning on buying a house with a little bit of land.

I saw a shoe tree once in Nevada. I always wanted an exotic tree, but the best I have done so far is avocado and lemon. If you nurture it and get it to grow tall, you will have a guitar tree that would be the envy of your neighbors.

Well it would be nice if guitars would grow on trees. Well acutely they do?...kinda. But not carbon fiber guitars

This thread poses an interesting question; can CF be recycled? The environmental advantage of not cutting down trees might be off-set by the disadvantage of not being able to repurpose the waste. ???
