Default CF and Endurance

Watching the Olympics and being quite amazed by the endurance of folks who run, swim and bike for such long distances. Got me to thinking about the the fact that the extremely lightweight and low action on my Rainsong have me playing with impressive endurance. If this thing had an arm bevel I might not ever put it down.....

New Olympic event: marathon picking!

I would totally kick Phelps' butt at this!

I love CF guitars, but I really can't run any faster. Or further.

Put a John Pearse Slim-line ebony arm rest on it! Not exactly as slick as an arm bevel but does the trick, and your arm covers the darn thing while your playing and nobody even knows it's there. Not only this but the tone of your guitar improves as well. These are not a gimmick.

That looks really good on the Shorty, I seem to play with a heavy right arm and change the tone of my wood guitars, so may have to look into one of those. Sorry for being off topic there...carry on... thanks Sean.

Not off topic at all. The possibility of an armrest is intriguing. Anyone know about the Andreas Abel armrests?

That was the deciding factor that caused me to choose the X20 as my first CFG instead. A primary cause that keeps me from playing it forever is that my left hand gets tired of fretting after a few hours. If my X20 had a shorter scale and/or if I put on lighter strings... I don't know if I would ever quit except to eat and sleep.

I'm sure shorter scale would be possible.
Why not custom order and put this one up for sale after?

Actually I just ordered a new (electric) short scale guitar yesterday. I really like my X20, so I don't know if I would ever try to mess with the magic.
