Default Two 00 size guitars

I love watching build threads and so I'm sharing this for those out there like me.

I've got two builds happening, both 00 size with a cutaway. WRC with cocobolo and Bearclaw spruce with Walnut. WRC guitar will have a slot head while the spruce will be a solid peg head design.

Scale length is 24.9 on both, 14 fret. Some bevels, elevated fingerboard extension and an Elliot/Doolin style pinless bridge. Hope you enjoy!

Rosettes made and installed. Sound holes cut out. I seem to make narrower rosettes now than I used to. I think I'm getting the less is more bug and I like it!

I guess I should post a reintroduction. I tried building a few years ago and due to some circumstances I had to quit. In fact, I thought I would never build again. Well I had some turn of events and now have a pretty good sized, fully operating wood shop. (Not as fancy as a pro shop, but definitely good enough for me )

With this new opportunity, I wanted to restart building. I've only actually completed 4 guitars prior to this, and had maybe 5 others that I started and didn't get to finish.

After having a few years off, there has been a lot that I have learned. I've learned to be patient and not hurry the project. I've learned to not get ahead of myself. I learned to pre-plan as much as I can to be able to have a more thorough work flow.

My goal is to make high quality guitars and improve my skill as best as I can. I do this for fun and only when I have time, so I'm not able to make many guitars a year. I am building two identical sized guitars right now as an experiment to see how efficient it is. I essentially do the same step twice, and while the equipment is set up, should go smooth.

Thanks for looking.

I'll be curious about the tone differences between the two when they're ready.

Got some bracing done today. I'm hoping to have them both braced and voiced this weekend.

This fasinates me as I have no talent when it comes to the final finishing.

I was able to brace the Bearclaw spruce and Walnut guitar this weekend. Some not so skillful photography

These pale in comparison to the likes of Mark Hatcher, David Wren and others photography skills. Lots to work on!

I've been moving along on these two last couple of weeks. Here are some more shots of my progress.

One of my shop assistants hard at work.

Here's my cutaway. I've looked around and have not seen anyone else make one like it so I don't know if it has a name or not. I'm working on being able to get those mitered corners perfect to keep the grain running perfectly all the way around. Still need some work, but getting better!

I've got both necks glued up and ready to go once the boxes are closed. Bent the cocobolo sides and will hopefully have the double sides glued tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Looking good there Maks. Don't forget to hit "enter/return" after each photo that way they scroll down and not to the right

Ooh, I love the cutaway shape. It's a bit like a blend of the two upper horns on the Breedlove CM, except it looks more comfortable:
