Default Back at it
Didn't really see a place on the forum for introductions. I have been enjoying this site for quite a while and finally registered as a user. 61 YO picking up the guitar again after a long hiatus. Wasn't very good then and certainly not good now. I used to study classical guitar back in the day but am now focusing on steel strings - strumming and fingerstyle. My older fingers do not seem as agile as my younger fingers! Retiring within the next 12 months so looking forward to guitar for skill development and as a fun diversion. Howdy!

Welcome Mike. You'll be in good company here. I think there are many of us (me included) who used to play, took a long hiatus -(life happens) then come back. I'm a little ahead of you - retired last year - but it's a great thing to return to in your retirement.
I play every day and love it. Glad you're here - I know you'll enjoy wealth of knowledge & experience to help you get back.

You will fit right in here. We have everyone from beginners looking for their first guitar to world class professional musicians. Teenagers to senior citizens, and quite a few like you who are starting or re-starting as they look forward to more free time in retirement.
