No, basically, remove the 6 hex bolts on the side to remove the head. Note, you will mark up the tolex. It's fragile. Then disconnect the 3 connectors. Then, the ground wire, which is screwed in. One you have the head out, the grill is held in place by three screws at the top of the grill. There is a clip at the bottom of the grill. Be gentle. Once you have the grill out, remove the 6" woofer with the 4 screws. Disconnect the speaker wires. Then drill a 1-1/2" hole in the bottom and screw in your mount. Assemble in reverse.

I've been performing at nursing homes/ homes for intellectually challenged/etc.

Often,it requires lugging your gear to a special access room or down a narrow hall etc.I try to be as portable as I can.

I would avoid any large bulky stands.

A compact tilt up floor stand works well for my AER 60 compact.Usually you can find a surface to elevate it if needed.

Ask each facility if you need to pass a background check. Some require it...

Have fun! You'll enjoy it more than any open mic deal....

Thanks for the feedback. After touring the facilities, it dawned on me that I am over thinking the gear end if things. Most places have a mic or small PA/amp. To obsess about my tone, is to miss the point, I fear. In fact, I was asked if I would lead a song circle at one location. That won't require anything but a guitar and some compassion. It's sinking into my thick head.
