Here's my updated practice rig in it's current state. I know it's a mess because it's a work in progress...I still want to add a LR Baggs Session DI when it comes out....I don't want to build a board and do permanent wiring until I'm done buying stuff....It sounds fantastic as is though....

There's been no issues here with the switches. What kind of problem are people having?

just read that on a lot on most of the Strat/E. Gtr forums and even a few times here on Ac. Gtr. concerning the longevity of their switches

Seems like it was past tense though and most folks have no issues now.

thnx

I'm really liking that pedal

I thought I'd be the only one with a Boss TU3 infront of a Venue ... says it all really ... love the Venue ... but not the tuner.

Aaron,

Did you ever get that hum issue sorted out? The strange thing is I also get hum using the effects loop of the Venue with some pedals ... those pedals are silent in other effects loops like the Tonebone.

I didn't bother chasing it.

Hi There,

The dual footswitch is used in tandem with my RC30 to switch between the 2 recording channels But i only got one hooked to the RC30, button A is gonna be hooked to a DD7.

Dakedi,

Yes, the Venue is awesome but the built-in tuner is really a pain to work with, hence the TU3. And, I never got the ground loop sorted out, baggs told me it was prolly a faulty unit of the Venue and asked me to bring it to my local dealer, funny thing is, my local doesn't keep this in stock, and I've got a 4 month wait, so I decided that I can't be bothered anymore

Here's mine (not fully wired in this pic):

The Strymon Flint will be replaced by some other reverb (possibly a Fishman AFX Reverb or something TC; I pilfered the Flint from my electric pedalboard and I need it back there!)

I love the A3 Air Reverb and I think the Aura and the A3 complements each other very good.
Also I'm using the A3 as a blender both XLR and 1/4 inputs are blending the output of the Aura and the Maxon TOD-09 it warms nicely the tone with its subminiature tube.

I've been racking my brains (no pun intended) trying to come up with the best solution for my pedals...I've got lots of them and lots of knobs that need tweaking...my problem is my back, bending over to reach down and tweak the knobs is a painful chore for me...sooo what I'm thinking is to build some sort of box that will raise the pedals about 15-18" inches off the floor, and put them all within reach. I sit in a chair while practicing and only need to use my feet for the wah-wah and volume pedals, Everything else could be raised up...I've never seen a setup like what i'm talking about, but it sure would be much more accessible than what I have now with all the pedals on the floor. This is for practicing only, not for gigging...so I really don't care what it looks like. Ever see something like I'm talking about ??

I raise my pedalboard about 6" off the floor so that it's within stomping distance when I sit on a barstool. I bought a cheap $30 raw pine shelf from Wal-mart that usually stands about 6'. I cut the side panels down to the size I needed and used 1/12 of its potential. I had one break in transport so I made another in about 5 minutes. Paint it black with a spray can. Can't see any reason you couldn't make a taller one from the same stuff.
