Default Retro Fitting Grover Sta-Tites Tuners on a Blueridge

I want to replace the Blueridge tuners with Grover 18:1 Sta-tites. The tuners line up with existing screw holes great. But the Grover bushings are sized slightly different than the blueridge and turn in the head stock holes. The Blueridge bushings are a bit too small to work with the Grover tuner posts.

Would it be ok to put a drop of Titebond to keep the Grover bushings in place? Plugging and re-drilling the headstock holes is beyond my abilities. Would it be possible to ream out the Blueridge bushings to fit the Grover posts? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Using a Q-Tip, swab the holes with some Titebond and let it dry overnight. Then test fit the bushings. If they are still loose, repeat until they fit.

If they are really sloppy, you may need conversion bushings. Otherwise the glue trick works.

John is spot on. However some will use a toothpick and superglue to do the same "build-up" procedure. It cures faster.

Thanks! They really do not have any slop/wiggle room to them and it really takes some effort to turn them so I will try the glue method.
