Folks, here's a recent receive from a new owner of our black 1.0 mm teardrop:

Hi everyone, I'd like to share a little on my new Charmed Life Black pick. I ordered a tear drop and couldn't wait for it to arrive. What outstanding tone! The notes are not muddied or muted. In fact, they are crystalline and clear. I had no pick noise and the pick glides across the strings almost effortlessly. I was able to compare it briefly against my previous favorite picks and, frankly, it wasn't even close. Like others have commented, I now have a new favorite pick! I have owned BCs, Bears, and many other picks but I have never played one with the tone I found in my Black Beauty. Now you may not consider a black pick visually compelling, but once you hear the incredible tone, you too will be calling it your Black Beauty since the tone is nothing if not beautiful. Try one, I'll bet you'll be as glad you did as I am.

Scott: REALLY liking this large brown Tri. How does it compare to the red and black?

Zissou, you'd want to try the black tri next. It's from a very similar molecular family to the brown, with some nice shadings of different tonality. Most players report it slightly warmer than the brown, with superb grip and articulation. Geesh, I sound like I'm trapped in the movie SIDEWAYS, talking about wine. Anyways, there are too many variables for me to predict anyone's individual experience, although it should some great on your Eastman dread.

The reception of the new black material has been nothing short of extraordinary. I guess we guessed right.

Thanks, AGF,

The black triangle has quickly become the second best seller in our company, after the red teardrop. Because we are known for offering the industry's best materials in thicknesses well below 1.0 mm, we will soon be offering a black tri at .75 mm. Until then, if you want one, I do have the blanks and can make one custom for you, no extra charge.

Feel free to drop me a line if interested.

Thanks,
Scott Memmer

Kerbs, that post was meant specifically for you, to make you feel miserable LOL. Jump in, the water's fine!

Anyway, the brown tri clt-75 is our THIRD best seller and people have been begging and threatening me to make a thinner black tri. In fact, in the last two months we've shipped MORE .75 mm black tris than 1.0s, and it's not even on the price sheet! Go figure.

Oscar Wilde, the British wit, had a famous saying: "I can resist everything but temptation." Such is life, especially guitar life.

Take Care,
Scott

Folks, we are gearing up production to begin offering the black large tri in .75 mm. Until then, drop me a line if interested. Same price as the 1.0 mm.

Thanks, AGF, for your support on the black series. Within 60 days, the black large tri has become our second best seller, behind our very popular red teardrop.

We deeply appreciate your continued support.

Finally got the 1.0 mm blanks in stock. We are getting a LOT of requests for a large tri in black at .75 mm and have been making these custom for folks -- no extra charge. They kick butt. I am also getting in this week a few thicker black tri blanks cut at 1.50 mm, if anyone is interested. Same price.

Interesting. I'm glad I checked this thread out. I usually prefer 1.25-1.5mm and I regularly use a BC TD60 as my main pick. Going down to 1mm might be too big of a drop, but I am curious to try this black material.

Oops, I just realized something, in case I mis-spoke in my post. The 1.50 mm blanks I'm getting in black are ONLY in large tri shape; I have regular teardrops only up to about 1.15 mm. We are currently selling about four-to-one tris vs teardrops in the black line, for some strange reason, and we're getting a ton of requests for thicker black tris at around 1.50 mm. I hope I am clear here.

I say this because the BC TD series is their teardrops. The triangles are the TAD series.

Feel free to PM me here or, better, email me direct at charmedlifepicks @ gmail.com, or of course you can just post here, since others will want this info too.

Thanks for your interest in CLP.

scott
