Thanks guys, mine is "The Loar" LM-500/VS, all solid and it sounds like it may be as good as I can afford. The Eastman and Kentucky mandos I'm looking at weigh in at between £800 and £1200 so I'm only going to jump if I find one that sounds a decent bit better than mine. I can have a refret and have the fingerboard radiused for £100-120 but I'm not sure if that would represent a sensible investment. Time to go and play it alongside some more expensive mandos and try to work out what I'm really looking for
