Default Seeking a Luthier

I live in northern MD along the PA and DE border and would like any recommendations for someone who does great acoustic set-ups. A guitar tech nearby that set-up my tele mainly works on electrics.

My Silver Creek T-160 has never received a proper set-up in all the years I have it as I would only noodle around with it. However, as I am getting older, my dreadnought is getting uncomfortable to play. The T-160's 000 body is light and very comfortable for me so I would like to make it the best it could be with a proper set-up.

THANKS!

I have seen Dana Sutcliffe's name recommended on a couple of forums. I think he is in northern Delaware.

I don't usually do setups except on the guitars I build, but if you can't find anyone else, I'll take a look at it. Send me a pm. I can recommend Brian Howard ( http://www.brianhowardguitars.com/ ) and John Hall ( http://www.bluescreekguitars.com/ ), they're both in Pa.

Was just going to recommend Dana.
I'm going there first time on Saturday but he comes highly recommended.

I've never dealt with him personally (since I'm on the west coast) but I've read glowing recommendations on various fora about John Hall at Blues Creek Guitars, enough so that if I were back in the N.E. he would be one of the first people I would contact.

Default Appalachian Bluegrass Shoppe

In my search I found Appalachian Bluegrass Shoppe in Cantonsville, MD. Does anyone have any experience with them? Online they seem like a very capable place to get a guitar set-up.

Default luthier

Just north of Baltimore is Dave MacCubbin. Great guy, knows what he is doing too.

Setups are the bread and butter of any repair shop. You should not necessarily need a luthier to do an acoustic set up. Any good shop ought to be able to help you out.
