Default Beyond beautiful....worth two listens, I promise!

Ever hear a song in a movie that really moved you, but had no idea who/what it was? Then you hear it again years later in another movie? And find out it 's been used many times......

I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written, first heard in it Hannibal (opera scene), then in Kingdom of Heaven (death of King Bladwin). Then found out it was used in City of Angels too, probably because it evokes such emotion.

Please post if it's new to you, love to hear your thoughts. It gives me chills and makes me cry.........

Vide Cor Meum (Patrick Cassidy)

Kingdom of Heaven (King Balwin is a leper, hence the mask)

+1 Rich...yes I've heard this and it is very moving; evocative if I may. This is one of those pieces that with headphones or a nice Bose system you can close your eyes and transcend the moment...very nice buddy and thanks for sharing it.

May I share another piece that I listen to over and over that slays me as well.
It is the End Title Music by Edward Shearmur to the movie "Passengers". The movie is pretty good too. Mr. Sheamur writes some beautiful pieces and I've become a fan of his ever since.

Some tear and heart tuggers for sure my friend!

I used to sing like that till I took an arrow in the knee.

Jesting aside, that is a powerful and at times soaring piece. I still can't listen to the song Exodus without getting goose bumps.

Balder was the nice guy in Norse mythology and of course, Loki figured out how to do him in.

I like musical diversity, and that includes classical and "some" opera. Just one genre all the time, doesn't work for me, but to each their own. Vide Cor Meum makes my ears smile........

+1, I am Southern American, deep southern. I remember listening to a very young Anna Maria Albergetti, on the Ed Sullivan TV program, standing on stage in a white gown singing 'Ave Maria', in Italian!!! I did not understand the words, but sat there, an almost teenage boy and cried! And I was not then nor now ashamed, very moved, and today I can recall and feel that same experience. Music has a universal language peculiar to itself. Thanks for a great thread

I read the post but am at work and haven't listened yet. It did, however, make me think of one of the most haunting songs in a movie ever...coincidentally called "haunted..."

From the movie "Shes having a Baby" (an incredibly relatable and special movie to my wife and I)
