Breedlove Masterclass Sitka/Myrtle - Reduced Again - SOLD Pending Payment
For sale is a Breedlove Masterclass Custom C25 in Sitka and Myrtle built in 2005. This guitar is identical in features and specifications to the Breedlove Masterclass Northwest Classic model with one exception: the style of the fret markers inlayed on the fingerboard. Instead of the “totem” inlay that is standard on the Northwest Classic, which I did not care for, this custom model was ordered with the more subtle “balance” inlay. This has a C25 body style (grand concert size, 4-9/16” deep at tail block, 3-3/4” deep at heel, 15-1/4” across the lower bout) with a 14-fret maple neck, walnut-bound 20-fret ebony fingerboard, 25-1/2” scale, 1-3/4” nut width, pinless ebony bridge, b-w-bound headstock with perl “B” inlay, gold Grover tuners with golds buttons, and an arched-lid deluxe 6-buckle OHSC (also in excellent condition).
I am the original owner of this guitar. The masterclass woods are very beautiful: highly figured Oregon Myrtlewood back and sides and a gorgeous Sitka Spruce top with a lot of cross gain silkiness. A very balanced sound with good harmonics and full bass, with good projection and sustain. A warm, wonderful sounding guitar that is great for finger style. A sound clip of a very similar Northwest Classic can be found at Dream Guitars: http://www.dreamguitars.com/detail/3...rthwest_10526/ I have recently purchased several guitars here on AGF, including an Applegate redwood/cocobolo, a McPherson redwood/macassar ebony, a Santa Cruz redwood/aussie blackwood, and a Stehr redwood/walnut. I now have too many guitars, and I have decided to sell a few. Condition: Excellent/near mint. No scratches, dings, or repairs. Seldom played. Last set up by Schoenberg Guitars in Tiburon CA. Body Size: C25 Grand Concert Scale: 25 1/2 in. Nut Width: 1 3/4 in. String Spacing at Saddle: 2 1/4 in. Body Length: 19 7/8 in. Upper Bout: 11 in. Lower Bout: 15 1/4 in. Serial #: 7618 Body Depth @Neck Heel: 3 5/8 in. Body Depth @Tail Block: 4 9/16 in. Are u sure about the nut width? I've never seen a master class at 1 11/16. Everyone I have owned or seen was 1 3/4.

Nut Width
Nut Width: Not sure about the accuracy of my vinyl tape measuring method, but the nut width does appear to be 1 3/4 inch. Thanks for pointing this out Paulzoom. Guess I need to buy a caliper...

No problem. If I already didn't have a Master Class I would jump on this. It will be a great guitar for someone and a good price.

Great price for a great guitar. I have the Northwest Classic and it's not a guitar that I'll ever let go easily. The Breedlove Master Class instruments really are beautiful.

Don't you wish you were playing this guitar instead of watching the Oscars?

Wow. Wish I'd seen this a couple of weeks ago. Someone is going to be very happy at that price.

Are you sure the saddle spacing is 2 5/16"? That seems wide for a Breedlove. I think the Northwests are 2 1/4."

String Spacing
Hi Steve - Yes you are correct. After a more careful measurement, the string spacing at the saddle is indeed 2 1/4 inches. This has been corrected in the listing. - Thanks, Eric

I'm a big fan of the high-end Breedloves. Many others feel the same. Here are some recent comments from Cozycabin:
11-02-2014 Many know my love and reverence for the Breedlove custom shop 12-14-2014 The one that tells me most consistently, "you can't live without me," is the ziricote Breedlove to answer your question more succinctly. 12-31-2014 that Breedlove model you got may be the best deal in all guitars, course that's hard to say, but impossibly much guitar for the price. They are true greats if you get a good one. And this is indeed a "good one". - Eric |

Steve Coyle, owner of Mighty Fine Guitars, is also a big fan of the high-end Breedloves. In fact, he sells them in his elite guitar shop in Lafayette, CA. - Eric

I love Myrtle as a tonewood, not only does it have great sonic properties, but it's gorgeous to look at! This baby should sell easily.
