Default Carbon Fiber Road Trip

I'm thinking of starting a road trip for some of the carbon fiber guitars we sell, sort of what Michael over on the carbon forum used to do, and would like to gauge interest. This would need to be discussed with the builders of course, but I'm thinking the way to do it would be for me to pay for shipping to the fist participant, and that person would cover shipping to either the next person, or back to LA Guitar Sales.

There would be no other cost involved, but we would need each participants credit card info for security. If anyone should deicide they do not want to let go of the guitar, they could opt to keep it. With the builders approval of course, I'm thinking we would consider the guitar a demo and reduce the price.

Also, I would ask that each participant agree to post a review of the guitar here, maybe even a video if possible.

Thoughts?

Edit: This is limited to builders in my signature

Actually, we don't sell Emerald anymore, haven't for years, but we do have every other brand and model available.

This is a good idea, Ted. I know that LA Guitars does not sell Emerald any more, but CF needs more exposure in general. Rainsong, Blackbird, CA, Journey and others would also benefit. Since many stores seem reluctant to stock carbon fiber guitars, we have to resort to guerilla warfare.

We already own a CA Cargo, two Rainsong's, a Blackbird Lucky 13, and someday an Emerald too. So I may not participate very actively, but my support and interest is certainly there. I still play any carbon fiber guitar encountered in stores as I travel around. Even though my wife has and loves her Cargo, I would still like us to test drive an X7. You never know....

I'd be interested in doing this for an Emerald X20.

I'd be all over this too if I weren't already as invested in CF guitars as much as I'll ever be! But yeah, what a great way for anyone to try out a new kind of guitar...

Thanks for proposing this, Ted. I very much like the idea, though my participation would be limited to perhaps a couple of Blackbird models, same for Rainsong, and Emerald (if you and Alistair can work something out, great, or if Emerald road trips theirs alone as they've indicated they hope to).

So, is there any chance you could get your hands on one of those new Estebans??

I hear they aren't carbon fiber, but I would be interested mostly in the hat, anyway. If I can find a mask and a cape, I will be all over the Zorro look.

Good thread, Ted. I like the idea of the "road trip," but I can see how explaining it might be... um... interesting. Offer ONE guitar (at a time) and see what interest arises. This is just a thought, but... you could do a guitar brand that you carry! 'Cuz it wouldn't make any sense at all for you to do a road trip on a brand you don't carry.

Yeah, I know: back to my corner.

I would be very interested. So tough to audition in my area. Huge interest in the new Rainsongs, especially with new pickup options. Probably too much to hope for that an Ekoa model might be included, Savoy perhaps?

Maybe Canada too, but luckily for me, we winter in Florida, so if there happened to be a road trip during that period in a year, I could participate.
