Did Jerry also do the song that Steve wrote with John Prine?

Any song about a river! Bill Staines , Steve Gillette and Joni Mitchell are artists who come to mind.

David Allan Coe did NOT write any parts of that song...Prine and Goodman wrote it. Steve used to tell the story that John was so embarrassed by it he didn't want co-writer's credit. Coe himself said (on his recording) he wrote Steve and asked him to put in all those other clichés...
