Honestly, I'm eclectic as hell.

If you doubt these songs can be played on acoustic guitars Google The Duo Tones Surf Music Unplugged.
I googled as you requested - and was blown away. I love surf music and to be honest never considered it as something to be played acoustically. I now have a new goal - thank you.

Closest to me. I play "Josh" music. Originals mostly but covers are done my way. That is the way I want them to sound. So, the closest pigeon-hole I would go into would be country-rock infused with a lot of me. I want people to hear me, not me playing....pick a genre. ADDED: I don't even always play the same song the same way. If I, or the audience, feel a little spicy, relaxed, playful, upbeat, the songs will change with the feel. You can always throw in a change up and do anything with a swing, country, reggae, rock, classical (yes) feel.

Bluegrass and flatpicking blues mostly, with a couple of Grateful Dead covers thrown in, so a three song demo might include: Ramblin' On My Mind, a cover of Clapton's acoustic Layla, and Uncle John's Band.

Thanks for pointing me to the Duo-Tones. It's much fun to hear this old surf music on acoustic. Have already worked out a single-guitar take on Walk Don't Run. Seems to be in C#, might be capo'd.

I can't find the Duo-Tones on iTunes, which is a shame.

I've been playing mostly contemporary Christian music lately since that's what my band plays. I'm always looking for new material to bring to them. Stuff like.....
Chris tomlin
Hillsong
Etc....

I finally found a slide that I really really like (Rock Slide on the pinky), so this year has been all about open tunings and blues. I'm also on a mission to learn a whole bunch of Grateful Dead tunes, as I've been studying and loving their early 70s acoustic sets.

I like to cover a lot of the old '70s tunes but on my own tangent you could say I wander free and wide fingerpicking whatever progressions and melodies they lead me into. Improvisation is where I pretty much stay.

In no particular order:

Blues
Ragtime
Fingerstyle songs

And I'm starting to explore open tunings such as open D, open G, DADGAD, and Double-Drop-D.

I try to arrange my own stuff mostly. However any finger style arrangement that makes my jaw drop I usually have to learn. I don't care about the genre of music.

Honestly, I play just about anything that challenges me.
