If that makes any sense at all.
I wasn't talking about low action either. I find this to be an issue with any guitar that uses low frets (I'm talking about the height of the fret off the fretboard). The problem is also (for me) more prominent with barre chords. Martin used to use pretty low frets as well, but that seems to have changed recently.

Larrivee comes to mind as a maker with fatter, taller frets; which are more forgiving with my sloppy playing.

That's a beauty Bowie. I'm glad this worked out for you. Froggies are pretty amazing and these H12s are special. Good luck & congratulations.

Does my heart good to hear this H12 has found a friend to appreciate all she has to offer. I know I will always have fond memories. Congrats Bowie!

Very lovely. Congrats. Love the grain and flame in that walnut.

Gorgeous instrument. Can you post a sound sample? And perhaps a handbook on how to draw one's spouse into offering such a treat? [emoji4]

I understand now. I tend to be very careful in my finger placement (because my Collings has forced me to develop better habits) but I can say that the walnut H12 is less sensitive to that sort of thing. If your frets are wearing, that may be part of the problem.

I think the only issue I'm having with this guitar is that the small neck (1 3/4 is small to me) makes it so that my left hand palm sometimes mutes the high E. I just have to adjust my technique.

I'll be sharing some of my music in the coming months, and this one will be on display in full studio-quality sound. I've recorded a few things on my phone but it really doesn't pick up the nuance that makes this one special. I might just post something anyway though because I'm really excited about this walnut and feel like spreading the word. It should be thought of as more than an "alternative".

Not for a very long time, I think.
