I've never used a slide. I don't have a slide to give it a try. How do you play chords with the slide on your ring finger? Doesn't it slide off the individual strings? Doesn't it hit adjacent strings?

I use my other three fingers to play chords and with practice, the slide technique improves, like anything else. It doesn't hit adjacent strings nor does it slide off.
