Default What are some guitar shops thinking....

We have a local shop that just relocated to a mall and I went to visit the new shop. When I walked in, they had a huge fireplace as you entered the store and (get this) they even had new guitars hanging over the fireplace... with it burning.

To put this into perspective, it's a small shop that has a door that separates it from the mall and another that opens outside, they are connected to the mall, but self contained. The worst part, they don't even have a humidifier running while the fireplace is burning and the heat is on.... You can tell that many of the instruments are in bad need of humidity and on some you can even feel the ends of the frets where the fret board has dried out.

What are these people thinking?

If they were Estaban's.... it wouldn't matter, infact it may help

These were all mid level guitars.

They will soon be able to use the guitars on the walls to feed the fire...

I've seen some nice flamed maple, but that's just going a bit too far...

I will need to know where this store is, I am with the GRS "Guitar Rescue Services", I will have to remove the guitars from the premises due to creuel and inhumane treatment.

Did you say anything to them?

You could break it to them nicely, or at least tell them to search around on the internet if they didn't believe you about how bad this could turn out.
