Default Who should I see ?

Paid $163.00 for two 5th row Balcony seats to see John Chattanooga. After the purchase, saw that Norman Blake is playing in my home town for $10. Who should I see ?

Why not both? To see NB for $10 is a steal of a deal!

I've seen John no less than 5 times. I'd go see Norman. Sorry John

Norman Blake. If I see a concert by an act I am interested in seeing, and the tickets are less than $30, I feel almost morally obligated to attend.

They are both on the same night in different towns.

Norman Blake strikes me as more likely to put on an interesting and possibly unpredictable show.

He's got some tasty chops that I'd enjoy seeing in person, and hopefully up close in a front row seat.

I hope for the possibility of small crowds and performer proximity for a $10 ticket versus the probability of a crowded venue, long bathroom lines and expensive snacks for $80 tickets.

enjoy whatever show you end up seeing!

Default An update

Not that anyone should care, but by way of update, I gave my two John Prine Tickets to my ex-wife and her current beau. I am now going to see Norman Blake and with any luck (and the help of a mutual friend) I hope to have him autograph a guitar strap for me. $163 John Prine tickets + $10 Norman Blake ticket = $173.00 Revised Norman Blake ticket cost and worth every penny IMO.

John

Just saw Mike Dawes and Justin Hayward last night. They do a very interesting sharing of the venue with Mike playing just three songs to start with. Then Justin came on with a long set only to be followed by Mike again and then back to Mike and then finished with Justin. When Justin plays, he has Mike accompanying him on electric and acoustic guitar. He also has a fantastic keyboard player who sings harmony perfectly. Very interesting show.
By the way for you who don't know, Justin Hayward is and has been the lead vocalist for Moody Blues who are still touring today after 43 years! Justin's voice has not changed since he began with Moody Blues. He and Mike were both fantastic. Highly recommended.
