Insert cable for effects loop
My Loudbox mini doesn't have an effects loop but the BBE Acoustimax does. Would utilizing a TRS insert cable eliminate hum from my chorus pedal? The amp has a chorus feature on it but it would be nice to be able to turn it on and off when needed as in a pedal.

I noticed no one has responded to this question.
I am thinking if you have a hum while using your pedal that there may be something else wrong. perhaps a bad cord or a flow mismatch. like an "in" going into an "in" rather than an "out" . not familiar with the BBE unit. but a Y cord is designed to to go into an "insert" jack. an effects loop has two jacks ..a send and return. I would double check your wiring and let us know more about how your trying to hook this all up. |

and it has a single input on the back that says "EFX loop" so that is an "insert" . so the y cord will work there. i would give it a try as the preamp will give you that much more control with your signal chain. |

Thanks for the reply.
I'm pretty sure that my signal flow is correct. I have tried placing the chorus in front and also after the preamp unit in the signal flow with no difference. I have tried with an adapter and with a battery with no difference. It only does it when the chorus effect is engaged. But it seems to me I read somewhere that using an effects loop would reduce noise. I guess it's worth a try for the price of a cable.
