Default Demo’d QSC K8 w/acoustic - no volume - why? . . .

I was at Guitar Center demoing a Fishman Sa220 and decided to A/B with the new QSC K.2 (8” pa speaker). This new model K8 has DSP with an acoustic preset. I was really impressed with the eq balance on the K8 with acoustic plugged direct, but there was just not much volume at all. Why?
Do I need an additional preamp when using specific powered pa monitors?
I wouldn’t think so.
The (2) 1/4” inputs were mic/line & hi-z/line. I tried both with no luck.
I was using I believe a Taylor with active preamp to demo the speaker.
I messed with all volumes and eq’s and such, but no luck. I assume at 2000 watts, this thing should crank. The Fishman SA220 next to the K8 was much louder, so it wasn’t an issue with the guitar I was using.
Thanx for any help.

Was the Input A mic LED or Input B hi-z led lit? If not, the inputs were configured for a line level input signal.

Not sure.
I’d have to keep it in mind and check it out if I get back to the store.
Thanx

The Hi-Z setting on input two should be loud!
