Default NGD: Recording King RAJ-122

Waiting for me on the porch this evening was my new Recording King RAJ-122. 12 Fret, slope shoulder.

I was pleased to find that it shipped without the pickguard, as I was planning to replace it anyway with this one (it's actually black, this is the best picture from terrapinisland.com).

I think it's absolutely beautiful, and I like the tone. However, I had a gig tonight so I didn't get a chance to change the strings to my usual Martin Retro lights, and it still needs a setup and K&K pure mini installed in the next few weeks, after it's acclimated to our Florida climate.

Here's the required pics, and I'll post a sound clip once I have the setup and string change done.

Congrats on the RAJ-122.....Long story but I have had three of these, two were great guitars so I know your going to like yours a lot. There are a lot of days when I wish I still had mine. Maybe I might get the fourth one of these days.

Decided to go a different direction with the pickguard after I got to my luthier today for a setup and this one was sitting on his bench and just seemed to be to perfect not to take.

No, has a thin C profile. Feels like a toothpick next to the V profile of my ROS-616.
